Nothing says “comfort” better than a steaming hot mug of hot chocolate on a cool fall evening. But not just any hot chocolate will do… toss out those packets of Swiss Miss and try this simple and delicious dandelion root hot cocoa blend using healthy, whole food ingredients. You’ll be amazed at how good this is!



  1. Decoct cinnamon, nibs and dandelion root in water for 30 minutes; strain
  2. Meanwhile, combine cocoa powder and cream over low heat until fully incorporated
  3. Allow to cool to below 110F, then stir in 3 T honey (reserve the rest for adding later if needed)
  4. Combine dandelion root decoction and chocolate/honey mixture
  5. Add additional honey if desired; top with fresh whipped cream
